Welcome to Wisconsin Sparky!

Sparky as well as several other pups were rescued from a high kill shelter in Alabama this week and brought to Wisconsin by Fluffy Dog Rescue. They are all living in foster homes in Wisconsin and are up for adoption at petfinder.com or fluffydog.net. We are his foster family and he will be living with us until he finds his own family. I hope to post pictures and video's of him while he stays with us as well as letting any potential adopter know a little more about him.

Sparky is a happy, affectionate boy about 9 months old. He weighs about 15lbs and probably won't grow much more. Surprisingly, he was not thin like many of the dogs that arrive. He is a terrier mix that looks like a border terrier. The first night we met him he let me give him a bath and trim his nails without making a peep. He was quiet the entire night in the crate and did not make a mess. He loves attention and likes to bury his head into your chest so you will scratch him behind his ears. He also loves belly rubs and will lay until you stop. He is alert and friendly but also calms down nicely. He walks quite well on a leash and responded quickly to correction when he barked at another dog. He is very quiet in our home and doesn't even bark when someone comes to the door. This scruffy looking guy with the big brown eyes has warmed every heart he has met this week :)
