Zoe's first two days in Wisconsin.
I have never met such a quiet little dog. She barked the first time she heard the garage opened because it frightened her but now she knows the garage door is alright. She loves to play and has typical terrier energy. My dog wasn't so sure about it at first but is enjoying the play now and even tried to get her to play tug of war with a stuffed animal today. So cute, they will play and she takes a break and comes over for some rubs. I give them rest time from each other and Zoe goes into a gated laundry room where she enjoys laying on a doggie bed napping. We have taken several walks now. The first evening, she pulled pretty hard. (being only 10lbs, not hard for me to manage though) I put a harness on her yesterday and stopped walking every time she pulled. She would stop and look at me and our walk would continue. Zoe, you are a smart girl, you learn fast! Although energetic, she does really try to please you and does listen. She even comes when called. Zoe is quiet all night in the crate and does not have accidents in it. She has had a couple in the house and we are working on housetraining. I'm sure living in a shelter two months has not helped in this area. I have boys ages 13 and 18. We always great a new dog by getting down on our knees and having the dog come to us. She does great with my boys. I have not tested her with younger children and cats. Here are a few things she is not: not a chewer, not a dominant dog, not a barker, not shy. A few of her loves are bones, walks, and stuffed animals. She really is a doll and would be great for anyone who enjoys an active little dog. She even would be great in an apartment or condo as she is so quiet.
