Day 3

................................................Sophia is hanging out in the kitchen and family room unleashed during the day. I still put her in the laundry room behind the baby gate when I am not in that area supervising. No accidents. I take her out about every three hours now as I always try to set my fosters up for success. She always does her business when I take her out. Cricket is still avoiding her. Cricket always does this with a new foster for a few days but is really doing it with Sophia. I'm not sure why. Once thing that Cricket loves to do is run in the backyard with them and I think bonds to the dog playing that way. Since Sophia was recently spayed I can not let her run yet. Sophia has been great when in the laundry room, very quiet. She did not like it when I put her in the crate last night and was whining. Usually I let them whine for a while but I didn't want her to wake the kids up so I let her out and she slept quietly on the doggie bed in the laundry room all night. We went for a walk today and she met a dog walking. She greeted the dog politely but this dog was in her face non stop. She did give a quick movement and showed her teeth a bit to say, hey, that's enough and we continued on our walk. I took her by my neighbors and she happily greeted both of her little girls loving the attention. Lisa who owns the daycare called her easygoing which is on her petfinder bio. Sometimes I like to explain the personality so you get a better picture. By easy going we mean, she doesn't seem phased by events around her. She was calm and happy the day she arrived. Many dogs are stressed after two days of travel. She did not show stress at the daycare and was cooperative with all the dogs in the doggie open area. She kenneled well not showing any anxiety. At my house she does not bark or growl at noises, people coming to the door, movement around the house. She just seems to take it in stride. She does scurry around and then flops down by you. She loves to cuddle up next to you on the couch. I would call her medium energy as she is not a dog that lays on the couch watching you all day but gets up and follows you where you go. She is smart too, I taught her to sit, will video and post tomorrow.
