* precious, precious, precious
* she's a girly, girl
* sensitive......I never try to guess a dogs background, some are just born more shy and sensitive, what is wonderful about Honey is whatever circumstances she came from, she does want to be with people and has made great progress..........I think I mentioned before she should only have positive direction......I felt so bad, I said ah ah a bit loud as she was heading upstairs and she cowered away with her tails between her legs.....I should have coaxed her down with a treat or sounding excited calling her down..........she recovered right away but I mention this just to remind myself and any future family to stay positive with her never raising your voice...she wants to please you...she needs confidence and security
*still no accidents in the home....I take out every 3-4 hours
*she scratched her sore beneath her left eye during the night and it has a dime size scab on it, I will keep neosporin on it and make sure she is leaving it alone
*she still just loves to be with us, she is not pesty at our feet, she sometimes follows us but most of the time enjoys the doggie bed watching what is going on around her, she loves to lay next to you on the couch as you stroke her, so cute, my husband had his hand hanging over the arm of the couch, he felt some soft fur, she had positioned herself under his hand for some pets
*she has had two baths since her arrival and still had a faint smell, I really think it is her teeth, they do have brown tarter on the back molars and canines, I have a feeling that a vet would recommend a dental for her, my dog had one a couple of weeks ago, they administer light anesthesia to them and clean the teeth. I don't think it is pressing but would be good for her to eventually have.
* I finally heard a bark, just one. A friend came to the back door and my dog ran to it barking, Honey stood up from the doggie bed and joined in giving out a single bark, have to say, I was so happy to hear it.
