Julie's infirmary?

Hmmm...........maybe I should change the blog name.

Anyways, Sugar after being with the rescue about a year finally received an application.  I just don't know why it took so long for her as she is really a sweetheart.  She was taken for her Vet Inspection prior to the adoption and they found a hernia.  Monday she had hernia surgery and she stayed here until Thursday when she was adopted.  She will have a wonderful mom in the Madison area who will spoil her.   In those few days here, we fell in love with her.

Now hoping someone will notice her brother Pepper.  He is also a nice little dog that would make someone a great companion.  I think these dogs that are 5 years old are just the best.........they are so much more mellow and much easier to have around.  Sending prayers out for Sugars continued recovery and Peppers finding his own home.

We have sure been busy.  10 dogs came in this past Wednesday, six of them doodle puppies that were abandoned when the owner was put in jail.  They are a bit thin but in good health and spirits.  Ten more small ones come in today and I hope to get better pictures than the shelter pictures we were sent.  Can't wait to meet them all.  We are still looking for foster homes for 5 of them.  Have you ever considered???
