Well, I am on standby here to take a dog in need of medical care.
Nutter Butter came in two weeks ago and was staying with foster Sheila. She was to be adopted yesterday when Sheila noticed she just was not acting right and her belly was bloated. She was taken to the Emergency Hospital Saturday afternoon and found to have a hernia with the colon's blood supply cut off. She had emergency colon surgery on Saturday removing the section of the colon that was dead. Although still lethargic, she is doing well and may be released tonight or tomorrow. She will be coming here for two weeks while she recuperates and then can be adopted. (good thing I'm a nurse-lol)
Nutter Butter's emergency vet care is estimated to be $3000.00. If you can donate any amount, it would be greatly appreciated. There is a DONATE button on the Fluffy Dog Rescue web site. Donations can also be made directly to the emergency animal hosptial. Contact Fluffy Dog Rescue for details.
Thank you from the rescue.
