Our new foster dog Kennedy came to our home this weekend. She was turned into a shelter because she was heartworm positive. Last week, she received her heartworm treatment here in Wisconsin. It is like receiving chemotherapy and the shots are very painful. She was quite uncomfortable for a couple of days but is doing much better now. She will be staying with us for 4 weeks while those heartworms die off. During this time she needs to me on limited activity. She is so sweet and is a lucky gal. A prior adopter has met her and when her 4 weeks are completed, she will be going to her forever home. Her new name is Tillie.
