Today, we headed to the baseball diamonds at the back of our subdivision with a neighbor and her golden retriever. We put PVC mesh temporary gates up on the field openings and off the pups went chasing balls and each other. Next time the one thing I need to remember is more water for them. Tired doggies now, nice.
Forever family, like many of the pups that come from Alabama, Bernie knows nothing. Watching how he plays, I really think he is not much older than one year. Besides house training, I'm beginning with a version of COME. I say "pup, pup, pup" in a high voice and give him a treat when he comes. He is doing awesome. He came running across the field for the treat!
