We finally heard her voice.

I was starting to worry that Zoe had been debarked but we have heard her voice a couple of times the last few day. One evening there must have been a critter in the tree line behind our house. I think about five neighborhood dogs were barking in that direction including Cricket. Zoe decided to join in for a few barks. She also gave a soft growl and single bark when a dog walker went by. I have to say, I was happy to hear it. So funny last evening, she caught her reflection in the fireplace enclosure glass and gave a soft growl. We assured her and all was well. She will sometimes softly whimper when she is in the gated laundry room. It only lasts for a few minutes and then she is her usual quiet self. We do hear the little pitter/patter of her feet as she plays. In summary, still the quiet little girl as when she arrived a week ago. One more thing, I think she is housebroken now............. UPDATE: Now that Zoe has been with us two weeks now, she does have her voice. Nothing major, not a yappy dog, but she will bark a couple of times when she hears loud noises or sometimes when someone comes to the door.
