As always a guess. Originally, she was listed as a Westie. We really noticed her thin stature (under the fluff) when we bathed her. And those darling ears....just wow. Thoughts were, papillon and Chinese crested. Her fur is soo soft and white which made us think Maltese. So, for now she has been changed to a papillon/maltese mix. Whatever she is, she is really a one of a kind "Alabama designer dog".
Interesting, her skin is pink and brown. Her belly has been shaved due to a recent spay so shows very pink currently.
Now, the question everyone asks. DOES SHE SHED??? Only poodles do not shed. I have not seen any fur on the doggie bed. I can not pull out fur when I pet her. When I combed her, I did get strands of fur in the comb. So for now, I guess I would say.....low shed. Her coat does seem thin to me. They all are when they come from shelters. I will be feeding her a high quality grain free pet food. It is amazing how nicely these rescue dogs look after a couple of months with us.
