Dog transport 5/5/12

Lori and I met the transport this Sunday.  It was pouring rain, yuk. Ten dogs came in on this weeks transport, all from Alabama.  Five are Jack Russell mix pups that mother had been killed by a car when they were 4-5 weeks old.  They all went to a foster home until they are available for adoption at the end of May.  Five adult dogs came in, all so very sweet.  A couple were a bit shy after two days of traveling in car to car but we did hear from one of the foster moms who said Bobbity Boo was doing great and very very sweet. She spent her first evening finding laps to snuggle in.  The other dogs that arrived included Mystique who looked like a small young cockapoo to us, very stunning.  Gremlin a yorkie.  I don't know who named him Gremlin but it sure doesn't fit him.  Very tiny and dear.  Charlie, yorkie mix, a bit older than Gremlin.  I guess the yorkies were surrendered together.  We don't know why.  We rarely find out but have been told, not to believe the people anyways.  Last, little Vienna the chocolate poodle.  She was very scared but let people hold her without any issues.  I guess once, comfortable she is quite the lap dog.  Her foster mom has poodles and was planning on getting her groomed up nice this week.   Only two of the dogs need foster homes, Charlie and Mystique.  They are staying with Lisa at her doggie daycare until a foster home opens up for them.  A big thankyou to Lisa for taking in a couple dogs so we could get them out of shelter and into homes faster.
