Homer has a forever family!

Little Homer went to his forever family.  His story is really a story of doggie love and taking chances.  Originally, we were told by the Alabama shelter Homer was blind.  Grandma Junie, a long time foster for Fluffy Dog said she she would take him to foster him.  She would keep him until a forever family found him however long that was.  She has a blind beagle that she says does wonderfully, she says he doesn't know he is blind, he thinks everyone is that way.  To our surprise, Homer gained his sight back. ( He had been found on the side of a road and they believed he was in shock from dehydration. The next day after some IV fluids, he could see)

Homer's new family had always had purebred dogs.  Dogs with heritage and special papers.  They decided to take a chance, adopting a rescue dog.  June says they were coming to meet him.  Not necessarily to adopt him but first just to meet him.  Well, he stole their heart, they went home with him that same day.  He really has a life now, boat rides, a doggie sibling and lots of love.

This is an excerpt from an email June sent me, I just love it.................

This is a lovely couple who have always purchased very highly valued dogs - but decided this time to rescue. Homer's new sister is a Munsterland, only 10 a year are sold in the US. The little Norfolk terriers they had were purchased from a breeder in NY. They flew out to meet them, then flew them back to WI. Homer should feel very at home with such an illustrious family history, he never pictured himself as a commoner.

Thank you to Grandma Junie and Homer's new family for taking chances.
