So many adopters seek out the younger dogs or puppies. I was one, adopting a puppy. Since I have been in rescue the last 4 years.......if I ever adopt another dog I think it will be an adult dog.
They are such wonderful companion dogs. They settle into your life so quickly and honestly are so much easier to have around. Gone are the younger dog behaviors such as chewing, digging, crazy energy, getting into things etc. My fellow foster and friend Lisa D. says.........."they love the simple things: Naps, snuggles, short walks, bird/rodent watching
and meals. In my opinion, that sounds like the best kind of life."
Adult dogs are a wonderful OPTION TO CONSIDER.
