Baxter's (Bax) story.

Baxter, along with 19 other poodles lived with a breeder in Alabama.  When the woman passed from cancer, her husband looked for someone to take the dogs.  They went to a retired poodle rescuer in Alabama and she searched for a rescue to take them.  She has been able to adopt out a few of the poodles and Fluffy Dog Rescue received 12 of the dogs.  We do not know much of their living conditions.  They must have received love as all of the dogs are very affectionate and love peoples attention.  They may have spent their entire lives in the owners backyard, kennels or maybe in the home as they are cautious with new situations especially outside noises.  I do not believe they were ever walked on a leash but have wonderful poodle manners and are very attentive to you when you walk them.

Needless to say, Baxters life has really been turned around on him.  He had a home, spent a month at another home in Alabama, traveled two days in cars and then spent two weeks at a local doggie daycare/boarding facility waiting for a foster home to open.  Then,  he was brought to a new home....mine.   I hope with this blog to give you a picture of his personality and progress as he lives in a loving stable home.
This was the picture of him sent to us from Alabama.
