Ringo and other dogs...........notes (I will keep adding notes)

Ringo and my dog are loose in my home and have no issues.  She is a 6 yr old spaniel mix.  They even lay on the couch together.  With the recent cold and the need to keep him on low activity protocol while his heartworms die, they are not let out in the yard to play together.

Ringo was with a small submissive female at the boarding facility before he came here and he loved her.  He also played with a medium male schnauzer and did ok.  The schnauzer was young and when Ringo had enough, he let him know.

He met the neighbor puppy male cocker/poodle and although interested, wasn't thrilled with the puppy antics of the other dog.  I will introduce them again and see how goes.

The boarding facility also mentioned he was overwhelmed when with a large group of doge ie. >5.  Did ok with small groups.  My dog is like that too, she does not do well with large groups.

As we meet more dogs and have more encounters I will post notes.  I think it is safe to say, he does well with calm dogs that are not in his face.

Update 1/17:  Still all is well in our home.  Interesting, when the dogs go outside and back in together, they are a pack.  If Ringo comes in first and Cricket stays out for a while (she has an electric fence),  he gets a little territorial when she enters the home, one quick "Ringo" from me and all is well.

Update 2/14:  Cricket and Ringo do very well together.  He would be fine with a calm dog but does not like dog jumping on him or in his face.
