This is Strawberry who is Shortcakes mother. She has been adopted. The two dogs found themselves at a shelter in Alabama. We do not know why. There was only one pup with her. Strawberry was thought to be a schnauzer mix. We have no idea the dad's breed for Shortcake. ............................. Here are a few notes on the mother from her foster mom:
She was a skinny 17 pounds when she
left here, may fill in some more but a leaner build. Mama is playful, silly,
friendly with new people, great with our dogs. She had a very good temperament. Not a shedder.
Terrier-like tendencies with hunting for rodents in the yard and even bugs under
the light at night.
